THE STATION

SGU 107.5 FM is a non-commercial, community radio station which began broadcasting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2007 from its studio at the True Blue campus of St. George's University, Grenada.

With 300 watts broadcasting from the True Blue campus to a relay station at Grand Etang, our signal reaches about 50% of Grenada.

MISSION STATEMENT

Advancing the mission of the University by educating, enlightening and entertaining all members of the University community and Grenadian communities.

STRUCTURE

SGU 107.5 FM has been designated a University publication and is governed by the guidelines issued by the University’s Publications Committee. Its operations are managed by the Office of University Communications.

PROGRAMMING

The programming schedule is presently being developed and the goal is for SGU 107.5 FM to echo the rich diversity of our internal community, which has been shaped by citizens from more than 130 nations around the world.

Our programming reflects the professional and ethical ethos of SGU and its goal to educate the communities it touches by empowering individuals and populations.

We are committed to broadcasting balanced, non-partisan, and non-denominational community oriented programmes which educate and entertain.

SGU 107.5 FM facilitates public interest announcements that it determines are emergency, non-profit, non-religious and non-partisan from the administration, students, staff, faculty and the wider community.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

We are constantly on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to serve as program hosts, disc jockeys or to become members of the station's Music Selection & Screening Crew or Programming Team. To learn more about how to apply to be involved in SGU 107.5 FM click on flyer.

Individuals can submit applications or program ideas to the Director, Radio Station, Second Floor Chancellery or e-mail radio@sgu.edu.

All volunteer broadcasters will be asked to sign a contract upon approval of their program proposal and before they can be trained to use the facilities.
