Dear SGUSVM Alumni,
The American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists is asking local veterinarians to take part in a preliminary survey on the distribution of parasites for their web site. This preliminary survey will provide the AAVP with data on how many veterinarians are likely to take part in a more extensive survey and it will provide some data on the prevalence of dog and cat parasites by geographic region (zip code based) which could then be summarized on the web site. The initial survey asks about the tests the clinic uses to detect parasites and then asks for raw data on the parasites of dogs and cats seen in June 2009 at each clinic.
If it would take you too much time to search your records for fecal results, please take a minute to answer the first 7 questions on the type of record keeping you use and the fecal tests employed in your clinic. There is a comment box at the bottom of the survey if you wish to explain your answers.
The survey can be found at: http://research.vet.upenn.edu/Default.aspx?alias=research.vet.upenn.edu/parasit
Thank you for your time.
