The first of its kind at SGUSVM, the Dr. Diana Stone Veterinary Public Health Award was designed for three main reasons: to recognize academic achievement and/or community involvement in veterinary public health, to promote veterinary public health as a rewarding career for veterinary students, and to provide financial assistance to qualified veterinary students. All full-time fifth and sixth term veterinary students in good standing will be eligible for this award, which is valued at US$200.00. Students will be nominated by SVM faculty members and nominations will be evaluated by the Stone Public Health Awards Committee.
The Pfizer Revolution Scholarship of Service, which is aimed at fostering veterinary medical education by recognizing the character and dedication of students interested in Parasitology, is available to veterinary students in terms one through six. Nominees should have high levels of interest in community service and Parasitology and should have participated in a Pfizer Revolution Day and a "One Health, One Medicine" Clinic. This award is valued at US$250.00.
Valued at US$125.00, the Pfizer Scholarship of Internal Medicine is being sponsored by Pfizer Vaccine Day. Nominees should have high levels of interest and display clinical and academic proficiency in internal medicine.
