Dear Readers,
I will like to congratulate all of you who participated in the Health Fair and Veterinary Clinic, which was organized by the SGU chapters of AMSA and SAAVMA, the Dierre Morne Temple of Praise Church, the GSPCA Animal Shelter and the Ministry of Health, which took place on Saturday, November 10, in St. David’s. The Health Fair and Clinic was a huge success and I wish to commend each of you, on a job well done.
I am also pleased that our first Professional Attributes Work-Shop (PAWS) which took place from Sunday, November 11 – Tuesday, November 13, went extremely well. Many thanks to the students and faculty for their participation and to each of the organizers and facilitators, whose time and efforts contributed to this successful event.
In January 2008, we will be offering a two-week course which will introduce selected topics in aquatic medicine including but not limited to Ornamental Fish Medicine, Water Chemistry, Anesthesia and Local Food Fish. To find out more about this course and the featured instructors, please see the announcement in Paws Print.
As we approach the end of the term, I wish each and every one of you, all the very best.
Best wishes,
Dr. Raymond Sis
