Profile of Dr. Patrick Flynn

SVM ALUMNUS & CLINICIAN AT THE SGU SMALL ANIMAL CLINIC

Dr. Flynn is a 2005 graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his 4th year at the University of Illinois where he successfully completed the NAVLE exam.   He is now employed as a full-time clinician at the SGU Small Animal Clinic.

Dr. Flynn displayed his dedication to Veterinary Medicine after the passage of Hurricane Ivan when he took a semester off in order to assist in the setup of an emergency hospital at the Veterinary Anatomy Laboratory. Conscientious and determined he worked tediously alongside Dr. Buxton Nyack in performing the arduous task of providing ambulatory service to Grenadian farmers.

Remarkably, amidst the chaos and stressful conditions that erupted after Ivan, Dr. Flynn was able to assist many animals and their owners. During that time he developed a close relationship with clinicians and the former Small Animal Clinic Director, Dr. John McKibben.  Following his Ivan experience, Dr. Flynn decided that he wanted to give back to Grenada and the SVM community.

Dr. Flynn’s next goal is to pursue an internship in Emergency Medicine.
