Research project consultation with Dr. Locksley L. McV. Messam

Dear fellow faculty, staff and students,

As announced in our recent faculty meeting, I am available for consulting for those who are interested in implementing research projects. This service is available to all faculty, staff and student members of the School of Veterinary Medicine and involves:

  • Assistance in conceiving and developing research questions (including discussion of potential areas of research in SVM).
  • Advice on choosing a study design (experimental or observational) appropriate to a given research question.
  • Advice on research proposal preparation.
  • Help with sample size and power calculations.
  • Advice on data management.
  • Advice on statistical data analysis appropriate to research aims.

Consultation sessions are re via appointment and last from 30 – 45 minutes each. If you would like an appointment please contact me initially via e-mail (lmessam@sgu.edu) or phone (ext. 2623)outlining the area of need for consultation (unfortunately my departmental phone does not allow me to currently retrieve messages)and I will promptly follow-up to set up an appointment.
