This coming Monday, May 8th, 2017 there will be a seminar by a visiting research faculty. The speaker will be Dr. Daniel Swale, PhD from Louisiana State University (Assistant Professor in Entomology, Adjunct Faculty at Veterinary School). The title of his presentation is “Pharmaceuticals to Insecticides: Building a bridge between mammalian and insect toxicology for the enhancement of the vector control 'tool box'”, and it will be held in the WINDREF Conference Room from 12:30 - 1:30pm.

Dr. Swale is visiting SGU to finalize the specifics of a collaborative research project on vector-borne diseases.

Furthermore, we in the SGU SVM Pathobiology department invite you to meet with Dr. Swale during his visit (Monday, May 8 through Wednesday, May 10) to discuss his and your ongoing research (vector-borne disease or otherwise) as well as other potential research and teaching collaborations. Please contact Mr. Dan Fitzpatrick (dfitzpat@sgu.edu) if you'd like to arrange a meeting.
