SUBJECT:    S.G.U./N.I.S. Sickness Benefits Processing

DATE:           28th January, 2015

Dear Staff:

Our office continues to experience a delay in the timely processing of National Insurance Scheme Claims for Sickness Benefits. 

With immediate effect, the following should be adhered to:-

  • All original Medical Sick Certificates must be submitted to the Human Resource Office, with a completed and signed N.I.S. Claim for Sickness Benefits Form.
  • Claims must be submitted to the Human Resource Office, no later than two (2) days from issuance of the Medical Sick Certificate.  Late submissions of Claims can result in that Claim being denied or a loss in earnings for the duration of the Sick Leave.
