Dear ANGEL User,

As stated in previous correspondences, the University will be upgrading from ANGEL 7.2 to version 7.4 on July 21. ANGEL will be unavailable that day. This message tells you about the new features in Assessment.

Converting Quizzes to Assessment: What’s New

Once you have converted quizzes to assessments, there are some new exciting features that you can take advantage of.

These include:

• Questions Sets replace Section Headings giving more flexibility in the management of groups of questions.
• There is enhanced item analysis, including the ability to test question reliability and discrimination, as well as, frequency and distribution of answers.
• Reviewing student performance as a one page summary, called Assessment at a Glance.
• A Question Bank Manager which allows management of questions based on keywords, questions sets (folders) and pooling.
• Addition of an algorithmic question which generates questions based on a formula containing variables.

NOTE: There will be workshops on Assessments in August.
