Campus News and Notes

As in previous terms, the Bioethics Department will host a Mindfulness skills group on Thursdays from 12:05-12:45 pm, beginning Thursday 21st January, 2016 . Mindfulness is the art of paying complete attention. Mindfulness training improves concentration and focus, self awareness, self mastery, and communication. It has been shown to reduce stress and ruminative thinking. When introduced into classroom and other academic settings, mindfulness training has improved academic functioning and reduced performance anxiety. In the workplace, mindfulness improves performance and enhances employee health and well-being. Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend this introductory session, which will consist of a brief talk and introductory practice exercises.

On January 21 & 28, February 25, May 05 & 12 (ONLY) Mindfulness will be held in Windref's Conference Room:

On all other days it will be held in the Great Hall, Caribbean House (unless otherwise announced).
